Have an ‘87 4Runner. Got the heat working after changing the heater core. But the selector for dash or floor or defrost isn’t working properly. Like to get it all working right before the cold comes. I wouldn’t mind just taking the whole dash out and replacing everything in there to be honest. But, where can I find parts like that? Or all types of dash parts for that matter. I know those parts are hard to find. Any options other than eBay or find a donor vehicle?

 

Have you checked all the cables from the selector to the door that re routes the air? Possible something popped out or came off when the heater core was done?? It’s not a complicated system and might be as simple as reconnecting something….
