'87 22re codes

I am probably tripping but...After tinkering a little under the hood I decided to check to see if I had any stored codes. I proceeded according to my '88 FSM. What I got was a blink every 4.5 seconds.

According to my FSM, "Normal system operation: The light will blink every 0.26(22R-E), 4.5(22R-TE) seconds."

So for a 22R-TE my system is normal and I have no stored codes. See the thing is I have a 22R-E so should I assume that my system is normal or is this something strange?
