87 22r Ignition module

I keep driving my truck, the only think I worry about is frame rusting in MN, My question today is, I went to the stealer to find a new ignition Module, They told me it has been discontinued. Is there any good aftermarket plug and play ignitions? I know the green plugs are a bit of a pain to mess with, so curious what you guys are doing?

Thanks All!

Woody

Write the number down and go to a online salvage yard site. When it comes to electric parts that have parameters, I use OEM or used OEM parts. A good used Toyota part beats a crap China part. My 86 truck of 34 year and 473,000 mile is still running on the OEM one, so a used one.

Or just go to a local salvage yard with mid 80s toyota's trucks or cars (corolla seems to use a lot of the same parts) and find one. I'd bet they were the same on may models

Thanks much! Im gonna have to find one online, I've picked the one place clean of any 80's Toyota parts lol. Many do work between models in 85-87 😁 holding out hope there is someone that has a new one laying on a shelf somewhere.

Online salvage yards warranty parts and will ship. Plenty out there or try E-bay. I try to use OEM Toyota parts, if they are not too high price for what the part is. I searched dozens of online Toyota dealerships who will ship. They all use the same parts inventory software, but prices vary as does shipping cost. The one I found to have the lowest prices and shipping costs moat all the time is Conicelli Toyota in PA. With the VIN they confirm the fitment. Willing to answer any questions.

This site has worked for me in the past too
