86 SR5 Ext Cab 2WD Turbo Transmission...
So what am I looking at here? Bottom of the line question I have is what would it take to slap a 4WD TC on the back of this puppy, if it is in fact the R151F transmission.
The main part I'm confused about is the forward shift setup on the TC.
If it'd take major $$$ to make it work I'll just sell it and get a W56. Or look at a R150 by using this bell housing.

ok what motor is that thing holding on too?
what it looks like is either a R151 with a R154 tailshaft or a R154 with a R151F bell on it.
clean the grease and dirt off the intermediate plate and call marlin for ID

Its on a 22RTEC. The truck was as stock as a toyota gets so I would be shocked if it had anything other than the stock tranny. Especially at 140k miles.
Where is the intermediate plate? I couldn't find any writing but I do plan on power washing it anyway.

its most likely a R151f bellhousing on a R154 body, but if it was behind a turbo motor it is a possibly some one took the tailhousing and tcase off a turbo tranny mated the r154 tailhousing to it and did that.
the intermediate plate is the rusty piece with red rtv on it, where the front caseing and rear caseing mount on the bottom side of that piece there should be numbers imprinted into that plate those numbers will tell marlin the model month, day, year, what number in the production line that tranny was and what it came into existence as

Do you still have the truck? Take a picture of the aluminum tag center on the firewall. It will tell you axle code and transmission code. That trans you have should be an R151. I know many Zuk guys are looking for a 2wd R151 trans, try posting it on those sites.
