86 Runner cap

Does anybody know if my 86 4runner is supposed to have some type of gasket or seal between the cap and the bed? Right now there is nothing and my truck seems to be rusing from the inside out. What do yall think?

Yep. There is a gasket. Between the cab top and down the sides of the cab and the 'glass top, there is an O shaped gasket glued to the cab. Under the sides of the 'glass top where they sit on the bed, there are strips of closed cell foam about 2 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick that is glued to the fiberglass top.

You are supposed to replace the seals each time you take the top off. (yeah right!) My top has been off at least 20 times and I still run the same old seals without any leaks.
