But make sure you connect it to the fused side or else the fuse is pointless lol

 

So after tearing into the dash twice and playing multi-meter games for hours on end trying to find what I thought was a short in the radio wiring everything came to a halt when I looked at the key side of the ignition tumbler. Never really looked closely at it before and noticed that I have never once since owning this truck actually turned it all the way off. I have been leaving my truck in the ACC option every time I get out. I can pull my key out in any position of the ignition and didnt notice the button to get it all the way into LOCK. So there it is, no wiring problem at all just a new truck with new tricks to learn got it now though

HA, thats funny. I did the same thing the first few times when I bought my 86. I can also pull my key out any time. I would consider doing this mod, I did it and now that button is out of the equation.
