86 auto tranny slipping?

Hi im a newb here. Just bought a 86 4runner. Has a 4 inch lift on it with some 31's and noticed it bogs at freeway speeds unless i push the throttle down all the way. It also smells kind of burnt, like a lit match. It does this especially in "power" mode but not "normal" as much.

Thanks for any help!

Garrett

Lightbulb Here's some thoughts...

Welcome to Yotatech!!!

I know it's a "different year..." but there's some good info and links in my posts, and those I linked to that had similar issues.

You know you can just search "automatic transmission" and get a lot of kicks/hits/links too.

Here ya go: https://www.yotatech.com/search.php?searchid=3390532

Check the throttle cable adjustment for the tranny.
