86 - 95 Pickup

Hey guys. I am new to the forum, but wanted to post up a cool project our shop is working on right now and see what kind of feedback we could get from what we consider to be our "traget audience". Its a 1993 Toyota Pickup that we put a 2JZ Twin Turbo motor into. This has been done before a few times, but we were able to put together a tranny that will let this setup keep the 4wd functionality, but bolt to the 2JZ, withought hacking and welding bellhousings. This thing should be crazy when its done, and we are Jigging the motor and tranny mounts to make an install kit to sell, which will be available soon if anybody is interested. We plan on offering a kit that will include motor mounts, a tranny relocator mount, a new driveshaft , a wiring harness adapter and the front half of the transmission that will bolt up to the 4WD truck tranny and work with the supra 2JZ. It will be available for the 86 - 95 4WD trucks, and we will also be putting a tranny together for the older model trucks as well. We just have some super fun wiring and misc. crap to do on this one, and then this ultimate winter and off road beast will be good to go. Questions and comments welcome, let us know what you think!

For 2WD, just drop EVERYTHING from the MKIV Supra in there, the 2JZ, the tranny and the driveshaft, hell even the rear axle. lol.

if you're gonna do that just weld a mini body on top of a supra... or keep the supra!

We are at 6200 Fairview Ave., Near Curtis -

Yeah, the whole Idea of putting a kit together was to utilize the 4WD setup, which most people have never done with the 2JZ. If you are doing a 2WD setup, just use the supra tranny....

Thumbs up Gee Whiz!

This is the kind of build that I like to see. I have a 94 p/u and I want motor swap options that are good on gas but offer the tuner hp. And, it's Toyota too! Don't forget to keep us updated on here!

ISC...you guys are doing an amazing job. I want to swap my 7mgte into my truck but this kit you are concocting is making me have second thoughts. Can you PM me with some details as far as cost of the kit and what you are actually doing with the tranny and IFS. Thanks and keep up the awesome job.

Hey this is cool! I would like to try a 1jz swap since it's a bit cheaper, there should be no difference in fitment. Keep us updated for sure!

Would there be any problems doing this swap with a SAS in the front? I was looking to SAS my truck this summer. I was originally planning to do a 1UZ-FE engine swap, but I think I would probably have more fun with this. Keep us updated, I am definately looking forward to this engine swap kit. later
