86 4rnr idle issues

Recently bought this 86 rnr,not real knowledable about these things, but it ran fine til i put a muffler on it,old one was rusted blown out has a header on it,had to do complete tuneup minus fuel filter so far, starts hard and idles rough then smooths out some but idles high even after adjusting it some, slight miss on occasion, drives ok shifts in n outta OD at times but thats the tires i suspect,33s toyos, so yeah thats the start of my issues any help is sure appreciated, tryin chiltons but after 60 or so chevys im less than confident there but this is my first EFI computer car to play with,im already knee deep so why not, thnx!
