'86 22re wont run
Well, I thought it was fuel but cleaned the tank, new filter, injector screens cleaned, and it still dies. Itll start and slowly crap out to its death. Its been driven under 30 and its fine but itll still die at moments and after it sits a min or two itll be fine. Sometimes I start it and it will crap right way. Hitting the gas pedal makes it die faster, ac on makes it die faster. I clogged a leaky fuel pulsation damper but I doubt thats it. Fuels clean and I got a new pump screen but I doubt dirty fuel clogs that from the looks of it, apears to only keep the cake rust out. I just dont know what its deal is!

Search the injector grounds. I checked everything in my efi system on my 86...ended up being coroded injector grounds where they go from four to two wires. The grounds are the white wires running off your injector clips.. I have a pretty thorough thread I did about a month or so ago

Stupid suggestion but is you vafm plugged in. (Ie your air filter has a plug that runs too it). When I did a motor swap I forgot to plug it back in and it would start and die instantly ran for like 1/2 sec. Just an easy thing to check. Fits you symptoms. Hope this helps

I'd second GasTurbine's thoughts, bad wiring to the injectors.
If it runs fine for 1/2-1sec then it is likely running off the cold start injector, and the regular injectors aren't kicking in. A few ways to check this theory: One get one of the test lights for injectors and see if they light/blink during the cranking. Or you can try and see if it will run on starting ether. Or you can get an electric meter and see if the connection from the ECU back to the injectors is good (although this can be tricky, if the wires are really corroded in there, the wires can test ok but not really be).
If this is it, you need to dissect the wiring harness and find the bad connections on the injector grounds (the four cyl injector grounds are joined into two wires (2 cyl per wire) in the harness. That connection often corrodes and you get to a situation where the injectors just won't fire anymore.
