86 22re clutch issue

I just got everything back together after rebuilding my engine , but now there's hydrolic oil (clutch) leaking from the tranny. There was pressure at first, but now the master cykinder is empty and it's not coming from the slave either. I sure I just missed something when I installed the new clutch, but I don't know what. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I think this 'hyrdaulic oil' your talking about is brake fluid, dot 3 for your rig. It's leaking from the tranny? Surely you mean that its leaking around the tranny, because the only part of the clutch system that holds fluid by your tranny is the clutch slave though you said you've checked it.

You either have a leak at the clutch master cylinder or one of the fittings on the brake line for your clutch system is leaking. There's only a few points that could be leaking, where the brake line attaches to the MC, slave, and where the rubber hose part connects to the metal brake line. Your MC could have an internal leak, do you notice any leaks around the firewall where the MC sits?

Yeah, I think when I reattached the slave I messed up the seal. There's no fluid in the tranny itself, which is what made me ask, so I'm gonna pull the slave cylinder and see if that's it. I hadn't actually removed it, I just saw where the fluid was dripping from and there was so much of it, I kinda freaked. I've been working on this rig for so long, I just just panicked a bit and I didn't have anyone to ask for help.
The MC is fine. I'm sure it's just the slave. Oh, and yeah, it's dot 3, but it's similar to hydrolic fluid; less viscous, but universal for the brakes and clutch on this truck. Thanks for the fast reply.

The port into the slave cylinder was loose. I guess when I removed it I turned it a bit or something. It's been bled and has pressure now. I'm leaking a bit of coolant, but I've located the source of the leak and will be to fix it. After six months of sitting, my battery didn't have enough cranking amps, but it's on the charger and as of my last attempt, turning over at least. Some time this weekend my baby will have life again! 232,000 miles and ready to do it all over again... Just not the rebuild.
