86 22R Timing

86 4x4 PU. 22R With crank at TDC and Cam gear properly aligned (Slot at 12 o'clock and dot at 11:59) If I turn the distributor all the way clock wise the best I can get is approx. 10 degrees BTDC. There is not enough slot to reach 5 degrees which is what this motor calls for. Any ideas??

Follow the directions from 22RE Performance, and it will be stabbed right the first time.
