86 toyota pickup, No power!
Recently purchased an 86 toyota pick up with known engine issues, I was able to get it started but sounds like crap!, when I went to go take it around the block, it would barley even get moving without wanting to die and it has no power. There is a slight tick/knock in the engine. The guy previous said that it has lost oil presure and started running terrible after that, it has oil presure now, I checked compression and ot has 175 175 160 140, could this be the cause? I know that 140 is getting low but I have absolutely no power and dosent seem like that should be the cause

you do have issues between whichever cylinder you have 160 and 140, but it will still run normal. Check valve adjustment. .008" intake, .012" exhaust. Is it 22re? I have seen the TPS be backed off just enough that I could not get the idle to drop to set the timing with the diagnostic connector jumped, it forced the timing to 20 degrees BTDC. Truck would rev kind of slow, and would almost rev to 4k rpm's. But the minute you tried to drive it, it would barely accelerate, like 20 seconds to get up to 10 mph slow.

You said it lost oil pressure. You need to atleast verify it has pressure with a manual pressure guage.
No oil flow means you should not be trying to run it much less drive it.
You're missing 30+ psi it's going to not run evenly, combined with low or no oil flow and pressure you might as well take the bearings out and smash them with a hammer...
Pull the pan inspect the oil sump pickup, check the tolerances on the oil pump gyros. If you don't find anything obvious you have a significant issue and it needs a rebuild.
It's likely going to need a rebuild anyway.

I plan on dropping a brand new engine in it on a month or two, I am mainly just restoring it right now but wouldent mind being able to take it for a spin, I'm not really that worried about damage to the engine as of right now, not saying I'm trying to blow it up though
