Hello I have a 86 toy pickup extended cab. I want to replace my old sliding rear window but was advised to find a new window seal / gasket first before getting the new window. My question? is there a difference between a rear standard cab and extended cab window? I can’t find a new seal for the extended cab. Anyone happen to know the difference??

 

Yep they are different. I have an 88 Std cab and two 86 Xtra Cabs. The rear windows do not interchange.

 

Went through something similar couple months back with my rear slider leaking like hell when it rains. Could find nothing that fit my x-tra cab. I ended up having a piece of custom made glass for the opening and having it tinted and used the gasket from the slider. I actually do not miss having the slider

I used the same gasket over as it was not cracked or dry rotted
