Hey all,

Quick version: are IFS and Solid Axle 7.5" Ring & Pinion sets interchangeable? IE, can I put a solid axle 7.5" gear set into my IFS pumpkin?

Long version: I'm in the process of trying to regear my IFS 4runner to 3.73 so the freeway revs will be better for my diesel swap. I understand that some MKII supras had a 3.73 pumpkin that the R&P will bolt in to our IFS pumpkin, but these are quite rare. A quick stroll through the junkyard and I found a S/C Previa that has 3.73, but it's solid axle. I can go pull the pumpkin easily, but don't want to go through the hassle unless I know it'll work.
