Does anyone make a spool for the front 7.5" differentials for our rigs? I would like to do that as a cheap alternative to a locker as i do no pavement driving in 4wd.

Im not sure about whether or not they are available but I think you'd have to have some disconnecting hubs to make it work.

Unless you're ALWAYS in mud, I wouldn't do it, cuz if you have ANY traction, you're not gonna be able to turn. Also, there's gonna be so much load on the steering that you're gonna go through PS pumps, relay rods, tie rods, idler arms, etc like crazy.

Do an Aussie or a lockrite...

That is the last thing I would ever do on a IFS rig, or the front of ANY rig... tc was right on... not to mention that you shouldnt drive on bare pavement in 4wd even if your not locked/spooled....

I agree with these guys! I think voodoo on here has a spooled front, if you want to talk to someone who actually has one. Once again, I wouldn't recomend it, much better off throwing an aussie in there.

Lorn (VooDoo) is not really sure what he has in the front. He bought it with mods done already and had ARB issues withe the rear. IMHO it think he has a lunchbox in the front or LSD that is not unlocking anymore (broken).

Like Slosurfer said an Aussie is the way to go with your front if you have locking hubs.

good choice, i actually just got a 4.88 with a lunchbox locker. i agree with TC, lockers allow you to have more control and let you climb obstacles instead of bounce or gas it up them.

would have made a new post but cant yet, and its the cheapest thing to get my yota to the trails, the carrier on mine is messed up and cant justify spending 500 on a locker for the woods
