this might have been asked before but is is possible to mount the rear shackle mount of my 63 chevys threw the frame rather than under I don't want to get to much lift no higher than 2" so I want to raise the shackle mount higher to lower the rear but still have the travel ...has any body done this or have any links or pics and measurements would help alot thanks

 

go to pirate. there a slew of info on their chevy spring swap thread. read it all twice before you post a question. i barely got 2'' of lift on mine, and i used the factory shackles.

 

do you have any pics of your truck with the chevy rear springs Im curious to see

I've done the Chevy swap before, It really doesn't lift the truck that much - in the neighborhood of 2-3" best case... If you need less, adjust your shackle angle.

I needed 4-5" lift, ended up extending the shackle, adjusting the angle, and doing an add-a-leaf.
