He absolutely loves it and I am pointing him to this forum for tips as HE is going to start fixing the thing when it goes wrong.
With mine when I bought it.. I pulled the plugs they were really bad, and changed the ignition wires because they had never been changed before, and bought a new distributor cap, also I put some injector cleaner in at about a half a tank left in the tank so it would be a little stronger, and cleaned my air filter. I did it all myself so all together it was about $100. Thats just some stuff I did in order to improve a little gas and have it runnin almost perfect. You need a 3/8 Spark plug socket to pull them. And with the 3.0 being so compact as it is, its gnna take a little time.

Thanks all! In reading the forum I've solved the first issue I had, and that was an aweful grinding noise with the wheel turned at full lock. The plastic steering stops!

Great advice so far, Ladorday weekend we are doing a tune up, maybe some new brake pads and shocks. Cleaning out the sunroof drains.

He want's to leave the color the way it is, although I had downloaded the official cammo paint pattern for SUV's....

probably the same thing i did with my dash, rvinyl wood grain, you put it on with a heat gun then trim it up, comes out very nice if you take your time, i did mine in black and wood, no paint.

check it out guys google rvinyl if your interested they have tutorial vids on you tube as well. nice thing is is that it is so thin when your done the texture of everything comes through, look at the horn button in the above pic, the toyota emblem and texture comes through very clearly, most people that see it think its stock and want a black interior with wood grain, best of all it costs less than 100 bucks.

Not really, Unless I get one close to the border, like in Maine. I buy a big can whenever I pass one and make my own, but it isn't the same.
