60" Yakima tracks on a 2nd gen 4Runner

Has anyone installed long roof rack tracks on a 2nd gen 4Runner with a sunroof? I'm about to do exactly that, but I want to know if I'm going to run into any pitfalls. I figure that if I install between the rain gutter like groove up there and the slot for the sunroof I should be ok, but there's not much room for error.

I've got some flare nuts that I'm goint to be installing in the roof to hold the rack. I was thinking about just using stainless sheet metal screws in the area of the sunroof just in case it's super tight.

I was looking at doing it, but kinda called it off when Yakima was like "yeah, well, we uh don't recommend it".

The sunroof is pretty big and goes back in there quite a ways.

I put in the short tracks, like 48" I think. When I measureed for the 60" ones it just looked too close for comfort for me. Even the 52" ones look like they might interfere with the sunroof motor parts

FYI if anyone is curious, I was able to get the 60" tracks installed. They look fine. The first bolt farthest forward had some slight interferance with some extra brace for the sunroof. I just left the smaller pilot hole I drilled before drilling for the expansion nuts and used stainless screws. This was only for one bolt for each bar. The ten or so other holes for each track I was able to use the expansion nuts with out any problems. The tracks are very far to the outside though. Actually overhanging the gutter by maybe a 1/4 inch.

If anyone is doing this and wants a picture just pm me.

Thanks for the response dlbrunner. I wouldn't have tried this but the guys at the rack shop told me that they've done it.
