Ok I repacked the wheel bearing and now the 4x4 wont engage. Is there a certain way they have to go back on. I thought there was only way they could fit.

 

Do you mean your hubs will not lock ??

As the 4 wheel drive depending just what you have ADD or Just the regular manual hubs is all controlled through the transfer case lever.

Yes it is possible to put things together wrong if it is your hubs failing to engage.

 

I guess they arnt locking. They turn to lock but the front tires wont turn. I must have put them on wrong. this was my first time repacking bearing and i followed some instruction that had some pretty detailed way to do it. but nothing on how to reassemble the hubs the right way so i thought they just hooked right back up

 

assembly of the hub is reverse of the disassembly dude, get a haynes manual and follow the procedure is all I know to say!

 

got er done a while back but thanks anyways. Had em right the whole time just didnt let my wheels roll and engage. SMH
