4runner Window lock switch
I got my tailgate in ,but it doesnt work. I have both switches but no window lock switch. After doing some searching i found the window will not work without this switch plugged in. The wiring indicates there are 3 wires, but mine has 4. Give i have an 86, and the FSM is for an 88. But would anyone know which wire to jump to which wire?
Here is the plug I have.
I am so close to getting this window to close, and it is supposed to rain tomorrow. Is the switch all grounds or is there votlage to it? I left my Fluke meter at work
Thanks for any help!!

Great! Now on the "not going down" part. Does the window close all the way when going up or does it stop just a little shy?
Is the rear wiper in the cradle all the way?
When is the last time you pulled the window switch in the console and cleaned it?

Wiper is all the way up. I did hit all switches with electric cleaner the other day. I do hold the switch suspect because it just doesnt seem "Right" when cliking it, it isnt as smooth as the one in my 89. Fortunately I can take the switch out of th e89 to test it. I would have originally done that with the window lock, but when i looekd at it tonight, somebody had cut and manually spliced it at some time
People stop cutting off factory connectors
The window did go up pretty slowly, but the tracks would need some lube, it has been dry, and this tailgate was collecting so i am going to lube up the mechanics. I didnt do that last weekend, i would have if i didnt have to take the afternoon and spline in a connector for the tailgate harness. Oh well, it is a project
Thanks!!!

Ok kewl! The reason I asked all that was because I had an issue with mine where it would go up really slow and then stop when the window hit the felt, but it wouldn't go all the way up and seal nor would it come back down.
It worked great on the tail gate switch so I took the one out of the console and sprayed WD-40 in it until all the old coffee, tea, soda and freaking cigarette ashes came out. Works fine now and has for almost a year.

Well the planets were aligned. I went into the switch and cleaned all the contacts, and it works now. I connected it and the tailgate window went down I just need to lube the tracks but it does work, so a big sigh of relief. Now i cna work on other things

Sweet! I'm glad it works for you! I was amazed at how happy I was when mine started working right. It's the little things with these rigs that makes you work harder to keep them
