4runner Gauges Mechanical or Electrical

Im installing sunpro gauges

i need to know if my gauges are mechanical or electrical to follow the installation directions

Doesn't that really depend on the gauge that your installing? Oil pressure, fuel pressure, volt, ect...

for oil pressure and water temp it gives installation instructions for electrical and mechanical that is why im wondering

If you're talking about the existing gauges in your vehicle, then electrical.
If you're talking about the gauges that you bought, well, you you will know

im a noob i dont know what the new gauges are as i said they give instructions for electrical and mechanical

What type of gauges do you have? water, oil...


If there only wire connections on the back then you have electrical, if there is a hose connection (where fluid can flow into the gauge) you have mechanical.
