Edit: I took this photo at the 1988 Auto Show, not 87. They were showing off the brand new 3.0L V6 engine (lower left) that debuted in this 88 4Runner & is out of focus in the picture, I wonder why . I had an 87 4Runner at the time, the first vehicle I ever bought new so was pretty stoked to see this at the show. I think my smile was even bigger than hers.

Funny thing is if Toyota amongst other companies would get their head out off their a**es they could remake the runner with updated tree hugging specs and make a frickin killing, I can only dream at this point, but damn look at the paint, the top, the shiny glass, man....amazing
