4'' suspntion lift .... tires?

ok a friend of mine bought a 4' suspention lift. He doesn't have the money to buy new tires yet. He's thinking about putting his old 31' bfgoodrich mudd terrain tires on with the lift.... would that work out... will it look funny? Comments anyone?

Sure it would work, but the tires and wheels would look small.

Not only will it look goofy...here in Alberta anyways, it's illegal.

Subsection 8, paragraph 3a), line 7 word 8: the. So I don't know about where you live, but I'd advise him against it
