BY,

Thanks for the reply. I think my stock VAFM might be on the way out so I might have to look for a 7M replacement. Are they the same on both the 7MGE and the 7MGTE? Or do you want the one off of just the GE...

I'll keep an eye out for a future post from you if you find the time, that would be great.

Just curious, what A/F meter/sensor are you using?

Thanks again,
Andrew

You want the GE model. The GTE model isn't compatible.

Mike, thank you for the confirmation. I've been reading a little on your swap and I'm really looking forward to hearing more from you on that front, it sounds killer! Thanks again.

Cut and welded up the 3" mandrel bent U pipe, just have to put a second weld line in, put bungs in, tapand thread, and install...and watch AF gauge...

Hey Bumpin...Could you measure the size of the vane opening on the 7MGE AFM? I wanna check something out.

Also, did you ever get it to work?

Yeah, I know I'm blowing the dust off this one.

all right stop right were you are or you will be very sad person

the 7mge afm is to big for the slow 6 you will lean out and kill your motor

if you do the swap you have to put bigger injectors in or up fuel pressure and use safc(fuel computer) of some sort

drilling a hole in the tube and then monkey ***ing it with fuel computer again is stupid as hell every time you play with fuel you timing gets moved around and you have to mess with it allot pingy pingy bang bang

the only good way of doing this is convert your truck to speed density/map

http://www.maftpro.com/tproinfo.shtml

i am toying with the idea right now as well cause i need some more power out of this slow 6

Old thread I know...but did you notice any increase in performance? If so, where in the powerband? I've been reading up on these for some time now but haven't been able to find any definitive answers as far as power goes. At this point a simple yes it helped or no it didn't would be enough for me. Thanks in advance!
