Last week I took my 4runner out to Tahuya, its a huge ORV park here in Washington state. I managed to kill the truck going too fast into a huge puddle, see picture below. I hit the water, truck turns off immediately. Long story short, truck wouldn't start, water in the intake tube, throttle body, oil was milky brown. Got the truck running majestically after changing the oil and pulling it around while in gear. After all of this, I realize the starter probably got wet and my wires need to be upgraded. Ever since this day I have a oil leak now, and my diff has some runoff. I did use some engine degreaser to clean the bottom part of the diff.
My questions are
1. Is this leaking from the oil cooler, i dont think its from the pan?
The oil will go on that mounting bracket which is above the oil pan. most likely the oil cooler o ring? red is the path the oil will travel. from the bolts, down to the mount, down the bellhousing.
2. Is my diff leaking or just really dirty and the runoff is just old stuff on there?
