3vze injector problems

Hi! just bought a 94 Toyota 4Runner with a v6. Have had problems with it from the beginning. sylinder number 5 is filling up with petrol completely, to the point where I can't even crank it. I´m pretty sure the cold start injector isn't the problem, which only leaves the injector, right? I have changed all the injectors(bought from eBay), sparks plugs, spark plug wires and checked the distributor cap. all looks good. Where are the injectors connected to, the ecu? or a separate controller? I´m wondering if it's just constantly spraying fuel in the sylinder. if the engine stops cranking, I remove the spark plug and empty the sylinder, then it's able to crank again, which means it's only in that one sylinder. anyone got any ideas?

possibly ecu injector driver circuit. easy enough to test. there are manual links posted in the stickies on the front forum page that should have the info. otherwise, someone around will help with that i'm sure

I could not find anything on testing an ecu injector driver circuit on the front page, do you possibly know how to do that or maybe you can post a link as to where I can find it? thanks!

It's not the ECM. The ECM opens all 6 injectors at the same time. If the injector circuit was stuck on, you'd have a problem with all 6 injectors.

It's possible you have a leaking injector. This isn't too hard to test; easier than replacing injectors for sure. Remove the plenum, replace the fuel return line temporarily with 6mm (1/4") hose, slide 1" wide strips of blotter paper (?! I had to use ordinary typing paper) down the runners so they sit under the injectors. Pressurize the rail with FP-B+, count to three, pull out the strips and look.
