3vze High Idle???
I have a '94 4Runner with the 3vze and 187k miles. When I drive it and stop at a light or someting when I take it out of gear and stop the engine will go up to/stay at 1,500-2,000 rpm untill I blip the gas and it will go back down to 900-1,100 rpm. I am planing on doing seafoam sometime this week. Has anyone had this problem before? If so will the seafoam fix it?
Thanks alot,
Greg

It could be a sticking throttle cable/linkage, and Seafoam may help. Cleaning/lubing the cable might work too.
Or it could be a little deeper - like the TPS.

Clean Throttlebody, Check TPS for adjustment.(Dont get cleaner on TPS or it may be damaged)
Check the slack in the throttle cable, or not enough. (Check little grommet on the throttle cable meets the gaspeddle it can be sneaky)

I have this same problem with my 1993 4x4; the mechanic has blown out the tps with air, he claims gunk gets on the wiper causing problems. Works fine for a while unit problem comes up again.
