go vortec, if thats what you want to do. the vortec 4.3 is a great motor. though the 3.4 would be an easier swap....

I am in the same situation...my 3.0 is shot and I need to do something...I want to swap it out for some good horsepower (250+) but I am not sure what engine to use...lots of people tell me to do the Toyota 3.4 SC but others say go with a big chevy... any ideas would be great! Also, it will be an auto trans.

Go ahaed and do the 4.3L swap. I hear its easier then a 3.4L to get running. I kinda like to keep toyota engines inside these, but I know those 4.3Ls are a nice package...

pretty sure advanced sells adapters for it...

if you had the cash and time, 1uzfe swap
