3vze Crank pulley removal

What puller do you guys use to get the crank pulley off? I was gonna try the pry bar method, but i really don't want to end up spending more time and money due due damaging the harmonic balancer.... Does this harmonic balancer puller look about right for the job? I am hoping to just find one of the "loan a tool" freebies from Autozone that will work for this.

thanks everyone!

Jason,

You may not need the puller if the pulley isn't rusted in place. Toyota 3.0 crank pulleys aren't pressed on and every time I've taken one off, I was able to just slide it off with my hands. I coat the inside of the pulley and the crank nose lightly with engine oil before installation and it will slide on easily by hand and come off next time with no trouble.

That balancer puller is EXACTLY what you need. Just remove two of the bolts from the outer PS pump pulley, screw the longer bolts from the kit in there, and it works like a charm.

I have that exact same puller setup.
