3vze cam pulleys

I am having a lot of trouble removing the bolts holding the cam pulleys to the camshafts. Even with cheaters on a 1/2" breaker bar and the pulley holder, I have put so much force on I am afraid of breaking something. Is this normal? Two dealers have assured me the bolts are not left hand threads. Are they wrong? Any suggestions, I am desparate to complete a head gasket job so I can go back to work.

I dont know if this will help, but here is a link to remove the timing belt. I know the gear bolts are a bear to get out.
