3VZE 3.0 Wrong Gasket?

I am putting my 3.0 back together after replacing the HG, was looking through another thread to figure out what some of the gaskets in the EngnBldr kit are and I came across this pic:TNRabbit said that #7 is for the oil cooler, however I put it between the water bypass pipe and the block (under the intake manifold). Do I need to go back in there to prevent a leak? It was the only gasket that fit, and it fit well. Is number #7 actually for the water bypass pipe?

I just used Permatex Ultra Grey on the bypass. Clean both surfaces well. The pipe surface has a groove that is designed to accept a bead of FIPG. Sorry to say so, but I think you used the wrong gasket and should re-do that.

Bummer. Thanks for the response though, better to figure it out now than after the entire engine is back together. The EngineBuilder kit would be greatly improved by including a parts list.

I don't have a pic at the moment, but can take one when I pull the intake off to change out the gasket. The rubber ring on the gasket fit perfectly in the grove in the water pipe, and the outside of the gasket lined up perfectly with the outside of the pipe flange. I should of known better though, the groove in the water pipe flange does look like it is there for FIPG. I though it was in the kit to make the whole process a little easier since I didn't recognize the gasket from disassembly.
