With the plethora of Taco's waisting away in auto yards (in Canada) and the age of 3 Gens, has anyone taken a 1GR-FE (from 1995+ Taco's) and replaced a 3vze?

Mine died today and my auto yard has 100's of the Taco's just sitting there...

1gr-fe out of a '95+ Taco? 1gr-fe didnt see use until '03 with the 4th gen 4runners. '05+ Tacos had the 1gr-fe

 

'05... '95.. same thing, we got the point..

 

I remember ONE thread of a guy putting a 1gr-fe into his 2nd gen 4runner on here. Dont remember if he finished or not though.
