3vz oil light

3vz oil light
I have a 93 5spd 4x pickup with a 3vz and i am getting worried about the oil light. it flickers on startup and comes on at about 1500 rpm under accel and comes on bright on decel. People have told me is could be the pump, bearings, or sending unit. please help

Sounds like the oil wire is frayed and shorting to the head or alternator bracket.
Follow the wire from the pressure switch wire up and you will find a junction plug.
From there it runs up and into the plastic shroud next to the distributor.
Other possibility is the switch has gone bad.
