3rd Gen coils on a 2nd Gen???

Ive got a '91 4runner with sagging rear coils. I just put OME coils on my girlfreinds '99 and her stockers didnt sag. Im thinking about putting hers on my 4runner. I would think they would work but I wouldnt know for sure 'til I take mine out and measure. Just wanted to see if anyone on here has done this.

5 years on this board and I've never heard of such a swap so I'm guessing no since this would be a pretty common upgrade.

I have had both 2nd and 3rd gens and NEVER heard of that. It would all depend on coil seat (size of old vs, size of new) and ride height. I bought allpro coils when mine died and cranked my torsions a little.
