3.0 v6 tps sensor / timing. need help
I have a 91 toyota v6 it runs with out the tps right now but I want to put a new one on I no how to set it with a meter but some one told me I will have to take it to a shop for the timing after I install the tps?

P.S. If you can dial in your TPS, then you can set the timing also, pretty easy as scope103 explained.

You'll do better on your own w/o the shop, setting the timing. You need a timing light, of course, but the cheap $20 one will be perfect. You need to jumper TE1 to E1 on the diagnostic connector (this shuts off the add-ons to base timing; base timing is what you need to set). And the setting (degrees BTDC) are on the sticker under your hood.
