3.0 v6 battery issues
I keep gettin dead battery's in the morning,I have a new battery good terminals and a good starter,only happens after it sits,it usually does this randomly not all the time but can't find the draw if there is one..when I take the terminal of with the truck running it doesn't die so I'm gûessing the alt is good any ideas sorry if I am short I don't have much time to post at work I'll answer questions if needed 1990 extra cab btw

put a volt meter on the battery while hooked to the truck, then start pulling fuses one at a time... when u pull one and the volts go up, thats the circuit with the draw.

My guess is that your alternator is going out. Whatever you do don't buy a crappy autozone replacement. There are a couple of places that will rebuild your denso though like new or even with higher output.

But Team420 might have meant an ammeter, hooked in series. That will 1) tell you if you have a parasitic draw, 2) how much, and by pulling fuses 3) where it is.
You should have about 10-50ma of draw all the time (clock, etc.), but that would take about 3 years to run down the battery. If you're running the battery down overnight you've got to be pulling at least 1amp (a 40amp-hr battery, in theory, can put out 1amp for 40 hours).
Don't be stupid; with an ammeter hooked in on the 0-10amp scale, if you crank the starter you'll incinerate the meter.
