3.0 Oil leak and High Idle
I have a 89 pickup with the 3.0 v6 (250K on it) in it and it looks like the valve cover on the passenger side is leaking. (comes from behind the PS resevior) It appears as if I will have to take the Intake off to get to it. IF so what all gaskets will I need to get to do this job? I just finished up the water pump, timing belt, and idler job on it yesterday. Now I have to tackle this oil leak. The truck is my DD so I can only have it down for a short amount of time. Thanks.
2nd question....When I start the truck up it will idle at 2500 or so for like 3 mins sometimes, then it will idle down to around 1K..I know they might idle up when its cold outside but damn I wouldnt think for that long.
Anyways I am off to work so I will check this post when I get home. Hopefully you guys can lend me some helpful info.

Read these, there are several other threads on here about doing this. I'm getting ready to do the same thing, the first thread is the best one I have found so far. Hope this helps.
