3.0 missing vacuum line?
Here is a picture of my 94 3.0
I was looking under the hood earlier and noticed what appeared to be possibly a missing vacuum line. I've tried to look for some schematics online that might possibly lead me in the right direction. Does anybody have a clue what is supposed to go there?

you got to note that there are at least 2 (perhaps 3) diffrent versions of trottle bodies out there that have diffrent combinations of vacume ports at that location.
hears 2 of them side by side.

the one on the left is an early (88-91) 3vze from a manual tranny w/o cruize control and the one on the right is a post 92, and I have no idea on the tranny, I cant see the dash pot?
Am I guessing even close?

You guys are making this more complicated than it needs to be. Your truck is fine. The vacuum lines are fine. That cap has been on there approximately 12 years for a good reason, because that is the way it is supposed to be on that particular vehicle.

So is the black plastic part on my truck a cap, or is it a port to where a line should be plugging into? When I looked at the black plastic it looked like it had a hole in the end that we cannot see in the pic. Maybe it's been sucking air in through this hole or it is a cap? Does anyone know? It's a little late right now for me so I can't check until the morning. Thanks.
