91 3.0 truck starts up great runs good drive a ways stop shut off try to start it hard starting when it starts it acts like a carbed engine that is loaded up or flooded you have to like cleanit out to get it to run good so a lose on this one been running good till lately smells ritch when your trying to clean it out

 

Its a 3.0 thing. it happens to a lot of us

 

Have you checked your TPS and AFM? If they are ok, I would look into the 02 sensor. That seems to be the issue in most 3.0s getting too much fuel. Is your CEL light on? Have you pulled the plugs? What do they look like?

no check eng light the tps is good ohmed it out earlier when it was running bad found that problem had a crack in a manifold vac line replaced it then run great then this started will check the afm not sure how to check the 02 sensor
