Post 3.0 head bolts/arp studs... cams?

I have been reading for hours about factory 3.0 head bolts, a lot of arguing and opinions about whether the factor bolts are TTY and can or can not be re-used. The factory hard copy manual/TIS/and TSB all do not say anything about one time use. Anyway with that said, I am planning on replacing anyway because I am sure they are fatigued and I know the truck has had atleast one had gasket job done by Toyota in the past. Does anyone know if ARP makes a stud kit? I can't seem to find any. I also read about engnbldr parts but I cant seem to locate a site. Thanks guys

I have also been debating cams since I will be doing headers, I keep reading about weasy cams with no site results and crower, are the cams worth it? Anyone have any info on them

doa racing engine's its pricy but you can reuse them a many times as you want but you could also call arp and tell them the specs of your headbolts and the could probably find some that would fit for a cheaper price

DOA Racing's 3.0 Head Stud Kit, $345.00

This stud kit is an excellent, affordable upgrade to any 3.0 Toyota engine!!
The factory head bolts are less than acceptable in OEM situations, and are in no way acceptable for any rebuild, performance or otherwise. The OEM torque value of 33lb. + 90ƒ + 90ƒ yields almost a 12lb. variance, and is a serious contributing factor in 3.0 head gasket failures!! This is a fact.

Factory head bolts should never be reused, and this is a major monetary issue, especially when a gasket has failed.

DOA's head studs can be reused repeatedly, have zero torque variance, and aid considerably in head gasket seal!!

This is a "win, win" for the rebuilder and the consumer. DOA's head stud kit costs less than OEM head bolts(BS), and they offer consistent torque yield, and this means a greater seal, period!!
Each kit includes 16 studs and 16 grade 8 nuts. [Note: the factory washers are retained and reused with these studs.]

DOA from what I have read is a total scam artist not to mention the factory bolts are stronger which has been covered in threads I have dug up. I will not be giving him any of my business.

Factory bolts are pricey because they are NOT intended for one time use.

"IF ANY ONE OF THE BOLTS DOES NOT MEET THE TORQUE SPECIFICATION, REPLACE ONLY THAT BOLT. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE BOLTS IN SETS. ONLY THE BOLT(S) THAT DO NOT MEET THE TORQUE SPECIFICATION SHOULD BE REPLACED."

That is directly from a TSB from my login on the Technical Network(TIS) and the hard copy right in front of me. Replacing the bolts is only a piece of mind to those who have done multiple jobs worrying about fatigued, rust, heat, or noticeably stretched/damaged bolts.

Anyone have any info on the cams or studs else where?

Thanks anyway 94Toyota

found these ARP studs that LCE sells

http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGe...A-327FF7D32B28

Their MLS head gaskets are really nice actually but require a real smooth factory finish to the head and the block do use them so I will be going with a regular OEM style head gasket and studs
