3.0 camry supercharger?

I was browsing superchargers the other day when i came accros the 3.0L V6 supercharger for camry's and a few other cars...it looks like it would fit on my 3.slow with a little hose modding and relocating the throttle cables...what do you guys think?

Looks far too similar to the old Neuspeed VW 2.0 blower with a few extra intake lines.... A pic:

This thing was a hellva idea, but suffered from HUGE heatsoak issues (as in as much as a 15-20 hp LOSS at normal driving) from its spot on top of the motor. This coupled with the lack of ability to do any sort of intercooler to compensate for the heatsoak made them iffy at best and really not worth the cash... when we'd dyno my friend's 2.0-equipped Jetta, we'd load the blower down with ice to battle the heatsoak. He wound up selling it and doing a homemade turbo

Same type of blower, though, Eaton-Roots Type, which is one of the more bulletproof blower designs. More power through the curve than a centrifical blower like a Vortech.

It is....however, this supercharger is not for that engine. It is for the 1MZFE.

Won't work. If it was that easy, someone would've done it already. The ports won't line up (1 row of six compared to 2 sets of three), the intake hose facing the firewall, etc. It would be more feasible to make a Vortech centrifugal supercharger work.

If you want more power out of the 3.slow, look into Weazy2k's cams (Sea-to-Sky Tuning Cam Discussion thread), then headers and an intake system .

Oops. Saw 3.0 and Camry and thought it was another -FE thread ... didn't actually click the link.

Sorry.
