around 6,200 rpm's in 1st a few times.. since I took that piece off the intake box that sucked most the air through the headlight, it changed the exhaust note to a deeper tone at higher rpm's and definitely let it pull to redline easier.

3.0L V6 to rev-limit and frequently to 6k whenever i'm having fun with the vehicle, still runs like a champ. Been doing so for over 5 years.

22RE to rev-limiter a few dozen times, and 5K routinely without a problem for the last 40K miles

IMHO, it's no how many RPMs you can achieve, it's where you make the power.

A stock 3.slow is gasping at 4200. You can wind it higher, but it's not making any power.,,,so what's the point?

You need cams, porting, polishing, headers, intake....ad nausium to make power up high.

Mine'll make power all the way to the rev limit, but I've wasted more $ on the 3.turd than most anyone here.

I've gone up to the redline, never hit the limiter. If I'm getting on it I still usually shift at 4 at the most, but I've had to climb some long mountains in 3rd at close to 5 or more.
