I hate it when someone decides to cut and run, screwing over other folks in the process. Oh well, at least I know now, long before I was even gonna buy. At least the TC kit seems more complete anyways.

Relating back to the ride height question.

My 2wd lifted still sits atleast 3" lower than a stock 4wd. Factors may be that I run 30" tires instead of 31 and im SUA

with a 3" body lift you do not sit 3" lower than a stock 4wd.. Just put it this way.. Stock tires for a 2wd are 195/50/15.. or something stupid like that A 4wd can fit 31x10.50x15 stock.. We need atleast a 3.5-4" lift to achieve that tire size

It is an approximate measure taken by driving up to stop lights where I see 4x4's with 31" tires sitting next to me and they are much higher than me still. I am pretty sure I am that much shorter.

I am still the short guy on the road

Got an email reply from Total Chaos saying I need to reread the product description under "parts not included" and quoted this section of it:
84-88 Model Trucks require a 2" body lift to run a 33X10.5 tire.
2" body lift is required for running 33s, not 31s with their uniball kit. Though they did not say why other than that I will need to change front fenders, which I was doing anyways for my snorkel.

Yeah, that and the inner fender liners from what I've read. I guess a 2" smaller tyre wouldn't need the BL because it'd be far enough away from stuff. If not, will find out eventually!

I have a 1980 2wd with a 3" BL and 32x11.50s. Cranked the torsion bars to level it and banged the fenders a little but there is minimal tire rub.

Yes, yes it is haha. Took it off after a few days of double-takes from the local Toyota nerds. Have to admit it was amusing while it lasted.

Nice. Well my shackles have shipped. I finished putting the 4wd fenders and corner lights in; and my bushings from total chaos arrived. Once the shackles come I will put all the suspension pieces on; and wait for the tires (which should ship next week)

I have a 94 2wd DLX with a three inch performance accessories body lift. I fit 31's no problem after removing the front valence. Soon I hope to throw on an addicted offroad front bumper to cover the ugly gap and keep some bugs from hitting my radiator but other than that, nothing rubs, I might have banged on the fenders a little bit but I dont recall doing anything major.

If I recall the performance accesories body lift wasnt much, I think I got mine for like $125 back in the day including shipping but I just ran a quick google and found one for $136.

Yeah; im trying to avoid having a body lift as much as possible and stay with upgraded suspension but thats good news because you only have 3" of lift lol.. I think I plan on going with a 2" body lift in the future just for EXTRA clearance considering I do not want any rubbing. Maybe for christmas!

Oh btw.. picking up my $25 best friend hookup 4.30 LSD tomorrow

Well; I went to my friends house and pulled the rear end.. Guess what? 4.30 OPEN diff! BLAH! I told him he should pay me for driving 30 minutes out to his house and pulling it myself; so he just gave it to me for free since he's scrapping the car.

I'm pretty effing broke; I think I am going to yank the 4.10 LSD out of my brothers supra since his project isn't done and a 7.5" LSD wont hold at 700rwhp any ways..
