2ndgen 4runner clutch probems
I have a 94 4runner 3.0 5spd.
in order to shift into gear the clutch must be mashed all the way to the floor, even a little bit off and it acts as iff the clutch pedal isnt depressed at all.
i am thinking the slave cylender needs to be bled?
is there anthing else that could be wrong?
the clutch grabs good once it is in gear, my guess is it has recently been replaced.

Get someone to help you bleed the slave cyl.
How many miles on it?
If problems still exist, maybe replacement of both the master and slave cyls. is in order.

Check your clutch pedal bracket. I just broke mine and had same kind of problems. Check your pedal height if it isn't 6 inches off where the floor angles up . Mine measured 5" when bracket broke. If it's broken your not getting full push on the rod . Check fluid in Master it should be clear .Mine was dirty so I changed both master and slave.Gravity bleeding was the way to go for me.Open bleeder@ slave I used dot 4 fluid and just kept pouring it in master[don't let it run down low and get air @ master] and I did it for an hour , after an hour closed bleeder clutch was 100% ...good luck

On a separate occasion, with the same symptoms, it turned out my pressure plate was shot; some how it wasn't replaced the last time the clutch was replaced.
