My 90 2 door with 3.4 swap 5 speed, 63" chevy springs, dyno max cat back exhaust, ect .. I have my tiny winter tires on in this photo ( better for cutting trail imo )

 

I have been looking for one of these forever, and you just can't find them up here where I am. I've only ever seen one drive through. It was so dented and tromped it brought a tear to my eye. So, if anyone plans on moving to New England and wants to make some cash, drive one up and give me a holler.

 

One day, I want to add a 2nd gen 2 door between my 1st and 3rd gens.

Not usually a 2nd gen fan, but the 2-doors are drop dead sexy. 95 front end, engine swaps... omfg! You guys are so lucky.

Meanwhile, the 4th gen can stay in the street!

 

Anyone parting one of these out? I'm in search of the rear quarter glass driver side

I'm looking for a 1st gen, but I would buy one of these in a second. There's one on eBay right now but it needs an engine. Sweet lookin'.

I have three 1990 two door for runners i have 2 gray ones one was color matched and it all stock and my other has the stripes. Amd my lady has one too that the three

Can someone post a picture of inside the back seat and/or cargo area? I've seen a few in the flesh, but never gotten a chance to peek inside.

 

Found this baby laid up after 4 years. Owner said it had a bum computer, but I replaced the battery and she pulled to life first flick. Truck was originally from British Columbia but ended up being driven to Newfoundland. (west to east coast Canada for the geographically disinclined) I would love some information on the sales of the vehicle if anyone has done the research, because I called the Toyota delearship and they said "you have a two door Surf? What's that?"

Any info would be awesome as I have a 95' 4door to troubleshoot.

This from the first day i got her. Took her for a rip in my buddys fun muddy truck patch. I had no idea 2 door was special, but i always prefer 2 over 4.





Proud of the mud on my hood lol. Also i left the windows down so i was covered in mud aswell.





Kinda got stuck, but she looks awesome.

what kind of roof rack do you have on Yours?

 

It's from procomp, honestly it's garbage. Rattles too much on the road and made out of cheap sure tubing. But I enjoy sitting in it around a bonfire, makes my friends jealous.

 

This is my 2-door Gen2 4Runner from down here in Australia (same one as my profile pic). It is right hand drive so they must have been sold here back in the day.
2-doors are pretty rare down here - i don't know anyone personally who has seen one.
Here they have the 'Surf' which is like the 4Runner. There is lots of Surfs, fewer 4Runners and hardly any 2-doors.

 

I know this is a really old thread, but hoping someone might chime in since I've never seen one of these in person. I was just curious if these 2nd gen 2-doors have the two door handles for the passenger door like the 1st gens? I know the 2nd gen 4-door door panels are smaller than the 1st gen from someone on here, but maybe the panels from the 2nd get 2-door would fit? Just curious.
