2nd Gen Toyota 4Runner Shifting Issues
My Truck has rough shifting and I'm wondering what it is. I just changed the shift bushing and I bled my clutch and yet its still rough. It runs a bit better now but still doesn't work completely well. The clutch pedal goes down all the way before it actually engages(Sorta). Reverse grinds no matter what. I want to know what problems it could be and how I could fix it. Thanks

Reverse is gonna grind. Non-synchro. Wait for a two count before stabbing backwards. Some guys report that finding a GL4 spec lube ( not GL4/5) helps with shiftering issues. I need to try it, unless I shift with little or no clutch (cold) I get resistance in all forward gears.

Check for fatigue in the pedal mount. Adjust the linkage per the manual.
From memory the grinding should stop somewhere around an inch or inch and a half from the floor, when it's properly adjusted.
