I'm going to replace a lot of my front end next week or there about, tie rods, BJ's, shocks, rotors, wheel bearings, brake pads, add BJ spacers (thanks Frank) etc. I already replaced the ADD with manual hubs & there are already plenty of write ups on that. I have looked around & I can't find a thorough write up with pictures on YotaTech or anywhere else for that matter. They cover parts of it but not all of it at once.

I'm not very good at getting my thoughts transferred into words in one coherent paragraph but I figured I'd ask what everyone else thought; should I document this with pictures for YT? If the consensus is yes, then I wouldn't mind sharing the pics with someone who is a better writer & make it a team effort.

Post up what you think (or if there is already a write up I missed somehow); if there is no interest I won't bother as it'd just be more work for me anyway trying to keep my face out of the way of a camera lol

Pictures are always nice. I am on a motorcycle forum called ThumperTalk and that is what basically what you do. If you are doing a bunch of major work or something that you haven't seen yet or it was unique, you post a picture of it to help the others.

 

Yes post lots of pics I will be rebuild my front end this spring also so any advice and pics would be greatfully appretiated. parts,cost, time ,degree of difficulty stuff like that.Will be looking forward to the post

 

I would be interested. I have never changed wheel bearings or rotors. I would love to see pictures and a writeup.

I will also be changing tie rods this summer, hopefully it will fix my sloppy steering.

Anyone who can spell correctly, assemble thoughts coherently etc. As long as the finished product is correct, torque settings listed, no howler monkey shortcuts like using a chisel to tap in the wheel nut, & assembled in an easy to follow way for the benefit of the community I'm not too picky.

Anyone else, any of the forum "powers that be" think it's worth doing? Would it have a chance to be saved or would the effort be a waste of my time....if so, I'll just do the work & get it done without delay since this is also my DD & I'm sure I could finish in one day without going slow for photo ops.
