22re wont start

Im having a ongoing problem with my 95 pickup that im starting to think is the TPS but was looking for more advise.

Last week the truck wouldnt start without the diag terminals jumped. I pulled a code and it was the TPS sensor. When i went to test the sensor the connenction seemed loose, and when connected properly the truck started right up.

Fast forward to today the truck didnt start again.
It has spark and the fuel pump is turning on when jumped. The filter is new in last 30k.
But now even with the diagnostic terminals jumped it wont start. The engine is throwing the TPS sensor code again. I took a resistance test on the tps and got .45 owms from VTA to E2 with throttle closed and 2.9 owms when open ( i couldnt locate my feeler gauges to test the rest.

Would being just under spec mean my TPS is bad?

Starting to scratch my head here...

Your ignition key bypasses the AFM to turn on the fuel pump. If you are using jumpers you have a bad ignition switch or AFM since under cranking it should open a smidge and start the pump.

The engine will run with the TPS unplugged. Check to see if a connector got pushed back and isn't mating.

Did you remember to clear the codes?

The truck should at least start up, and if it were the AFM it should die within a few second.

Have you checked that all the terminals in the TPS and AFM connectors are fully seated and locked in place?

I have now checked the fuel pressure at the cold start injector (48psi), and the timing is correct.

However now i have no codes showing but still start.

I did notice i got vaped pretty easily while checking the timing
