Picked up a donor truck for the motor and I was digging around I noticed this just hanging about. Not sure what it is for, it is located near the throttle body. Note: engine does run as-is.

it has 2 black wires connected to it with no stripes.

thanks,
steve

What year is that? My '94 22re does not have that. My vacuum hose goes straight from the throttle body to the idle up valve with nothing like that in between.

Not sure about that but I do see a coolant pipe you might want to look at soon

It looks like some kind of heat coil or something. It is in the factory harness or spliced in?

I kind of traced it to the harness but it was zip tied to it. I believe it may be aftermarket whatever it is. Will find out when I really trace it down.

its an 85 4runner and what I assume to be the stock motor. Just picked up the truck to have a spare 22re.

thanks.
